The Differences and Similarities of Communication

People can talk to a person next to them and make a funny face, however talking through technology means you  can talk, even if you are far away from each other. While some differences between communicating in person and communicating with technology are noticeable the similarities are striking.

Here are some similarities between communicating in person and communicating with technology. 1.You need to be careful about what you say. You could say something mean when communicating with a friend in person and when communicating with technology. It’s necessary to be careful of what you say because you could hurt their feelings. 2.People could bully you both ways, cyberbullying and bullying in real life. Be careful when communicating with technology or in person, because people could bully you. I was online and someone sent me a mean text. The next day the bully at school bullied me and my friends. There are some similarities between communicating in person and communicating with technology.

Here are some differences between communicating in person and communicating with technology. 1.You have to have wi-fi to talk to someone with technology. My friend and I were talking on the phone, but then I walked into an area where there is no connection so my friend and I disconnected. You don’t need wi-fi to talk to people in person because you are right by each other, even in the middle of nowhere. 2. When communicating in person you have to be right next to each other. I was communicating with my friend in technology when she was in a different state than me and we could still talk to each other. You have to be next to each other if you want to communicate in person. There are some differences in communicating with technology and communicating in person.

While some of the differences between communicating with technology and communicating in person were noticeable the similarities were striking. I think communicating with technology to “hang out” just makes us lazy, because you are not going out to have fun. If you’re communicating in person and going out to hang out is great. You have a lot more fun than just sitting on your device, and you can get to see a lot more things.

A Sweet Victory

We put the candy canes in our mouths,

and we were off.

Trying to get as many candy canes as we could,

with the end of another candy cane.

As I was biting into the candy cane,

I could taste the sweet taste,

of the candy cane.

It was as sweet as a cherry.

It was so cool,

seriously,

the room was cold,

like a mint and a cold drink.

The timer was ringing with joy,

RING!

The round was over,

I ended with 5,

And my friend ended with none.

Sweet, sweet victory.
